Found a snake today and adopted it

For polishing, I also like to remove the side plate, cylinder latch and sometimes even trigger and hammer. As you said, yoke comes off easily and there's little chance of botching anything up, but anything beyond the side plate can be a different story.

I'd really like to get myself a 6" stainless Python, just to have another revolver project after the Anaconda is finished. :)
I've got one I'd let go for $2500, just pm me :)

I've probably made people quick bucks every now and then, because of just absolutely having to have some gun or another, but this would probably be the quickest buck in history... :D

Enjoy yours, it's a beatiful, beautiful gun.

I took the new snake to the range today and had a blast :D

I've bought guns before where I have no idea how they are going to shoot. I'm talking about the type where there's zero chance of renting one at a range. I just have this hunch it's going to be a fun ride. Needless to say most of those have been sold off because they just really weren't what I imagined them to be.

I can safely say this Python was even more pleasurable to shoot than I'd imagined, and I have a pretty active imagination.

I guess if you take chances, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, feels good to win one.

Now, one drawer has all snakes and may need to be completed with the addition of a Diamondback at some point. Another drawer seems to be missing a 27-2, this is no time to relax :uhoh:

A very happy new year celebration to all, bikemutt.

Adding a Diamondback won't complete the snake drawer, you gotta add a Viper, Boa, and so on until the drawer if is full and your wallet is empty..LOL.

Looks good. I've discovered that the Colt addiction will sneak up on you when you least expect it. The price you paid wasn't bad at all. It's understood that any Python in decent condition is going to cross $1,000 (at the very least) so $1,150 isn't bad at all. Enjoy.
