just picked up a marlin camp 45acp and what a gun it is.

i have a camp 9 and thought it was accurate :), well this camp 45 is just as good if not better :), 5in group @ 50yd open sights with just a mixed bunch of reloads just to see if the gun would feed good, first shot was dead center :what:

just thought i would pass this along if anyone was thinking about the camp models

I have both of these as well. Fun guns. I like the 9 better, only because my 45 has reliability issues and the front sight on the 9 is better.

things to keep in mind... over time the recoil buffer will fall apart and I believe this is what causes cracking in the stock on some of these.... the buffers are easy to get from marlin.... then again I replaced factory stock with a Choate folder.

already have 3 extra buffers one is the hd blue one, and $30 worth of extra parts and springs that will get HTF soon enough

so far both have been ex guns. the 45 has eaten all my reloads so far,

the lesson learned on the buffer with the 9mm,got about 25 rounds out it before it came apart, the gun had been stored for many years so I'm guessing it just harden up and roted when you see small white things falling out DO NOT PULL THE TRIGGER AGAIN, it will cost you $30 if you do.
