Cool test.

It is also interesting to note that the tester had quite a few gelatin blocks lined up in anticipation of the deep penetration that this round can produce (according to the Schwartz bullet penetration model at 1151fps the 10mm 220 gr HCFN would penetrate to 40.00 inches and at 1167 fps it'd go 40.33 inches)

Thanks for that data. That gives me a much better idea of what to expect for the next test. I'll use larger tubs that are 14" long each and wider to hopefully prevent the bullet from leaving the block. Three would give me 42" and I can just back that up with some water just in case.

And thanks for the tests you've been posting. Keep 'em coming!

Nice bullet test, that load should take care of anything we're likely to encounter in the Grand Canyon state. :) I've also seen 10mm bullet bounce in water, how high did the bullet track from the table?

I have no idea. I suspect it was still moving at a pretty good clip when it left the block. That was about half the penetration it should be capable of, according to 481's data.

I also tested .357 mag 158 gr JSP. I think that would also be adequate for large animal defense here in AZ.
