Milled is the ultimate in the AK receiver. It should shoot much better than a stamped receiver. But never a guarantee. The most stable for me is the lowly SKS . THey all have thick receivers and shoot s pretty tight groups.

I've had milled AK's and in my opinion, they're just to darn heavy.
Regarding rifle #1. If you're going to spend $1600 on an AK, you should have your head examined. Even rifle #2 at $1000 is a stretch for an AK.
If I HAD to choose one over the other, I'd take rifle #2 as I've had a Bulgarian AK and it was far and away the most refined, most accurate AK I've ever owned. BUt honestly, if you're looking at spending that kind of coin, buy the Sig instead.
If you DO buy either one, drag it down to SW Florida, we'll hit the outdoor range and I'll bet my US built Inter-Ordnance will give it a run for it's money.

just curious, can you clover leaf 3 shots at 100 yds with open sights with that IO? Reason I ask is cause I have done it with a milled Bulgarian rifle, with foreign ammo.
There isn't a half pound of weight difference between a milled AK 47 and an M4 rifle.

Not sure about aks thats why Im asking here. Secondly tell that to all the C93 ownsers lol who baught c93s from century so yes in some way you do get what you pay for. I decided wed morning when I call it will be between these ones http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct1102.aspx
or http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct1289.aspx
1000 bucks is not alot for me.
The first is superior because it's 600 dollars more. I'm serious, actually. So many people fall for the line that "this is more money, so it must be better." Honestly, either one will be a rifle that should last you a lifetime. If I was you, I'd save the extra money and buy your significant other a nice dinner date and flowers to "make up" for the new rifle.
Shes good I payed "her" house off shes 22 im 24 and she works part time so shes got her own money im done lol =)

i would go with the milled over the sgl with the folding stock. Some people say the milled receiver is nothing but useless weight but in all honesty milled aks are far more rare than their stamped counterparts. Just about every new rifle imported is on a stamped receiver so should you ever look to buy another after the slr 101s dry up it will probably be considerably harder to find a milled ak as opposed to the stamped variants being brought in like the saiga converitions, veprs, wasrs, etc.

Worst thing that happens is you buy it, they dry up(which from what ive read they most likely will) , you decide you want a different ak, sell it for as much as you paid(probably more, assuming you dont destroy the finish or break something), and buy a different one.

Ya I think im gonna get the milled and the red dot to go with it. Its gonna go nice with my hk93's. Heres a vid of my 93 clone, was able to get it to 400 yards today with the same target sprayed pink lol.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riwCdLNYv40
The only thing is cant find furniture for the ak milled revievers but no matter im ordering it probally tommorow.
So these are bulgarian recievers since thats were there from? Also what is it a single stack our double stack trigger? Did some reading and couldnt find it. Do they accept hi cap magazines?

i dont have one but i did pretty extensive research on aks when i was looking to buy mine so ill help you out as best i can.

The receiver was imported as a bulgarian single stack and was then milled out by Arsenal in vegas. Now when receivers get altered after importation it is a negative but rest assured that a reputable dealer did the work, and should it be improperly done i think Arsenal would do well to make it right. And yes when it arrives to you it will accept double stack mags though it will probably wont come with a 30 rounder(one of the few negatives you can say about arsenal, i meen come on just ship it out with a 30 rounder. But surplus mags are pretty cheap just go to a gun shop or gun show and there should be plenty surplus steel mags for around $15)

The trigger is probably single hook, i know all chinese models have double hook triggers but im not sure about the various models from other countries, i wouldnt worry to much about this though as arsenal probably used their two stage trigger which is generally smiled upon.

As for furniture, if you want wood i know ironwood designs can make a two tang stock for milled receivers. However other than wood or the polymer supplied you are a little limited in options. You could cut the tangs off and put in a ace block for their stocks but personally i would leave it as it is or replace it with wood furniture.

PS it should be a two tang receiver but im not entirly sure, so it may be best to wait till it arrives to be sure before putting in an order for some wood

Yup will wait. Meant I had to order the rifle but on the ironwood site it has this options and im assuming id have to select it has I will have a polmymer stock. "If you do not have the original wood lower, and have a plastic lower, order the lower as LHG-T3-NC, for no cap cut."
