Going with fewer chamberings.

Most major military rifle calibers since 1890's plus a few sporting calibers. My simplicity is on the handgun side.

At one time I had about 70 rifles and pistols. Sold a bunch of rifles. Down to .223,.204,and 7 Mag. There’s nothing that a 7 Mag won’t do in terms of medium and big game, and do better than most any other rifle. The .223 and .204 are two and four legged varmints.

Pistols are 9 & 10mm, .40,and .45 Colt. Also have a .22 rifle and pistol.

.22
6.8 SPC
.308
.45 Colt
.45 ACP
45-70
.50 ML
12 gage

That’s it for me; I don’t plan to reduce or increase. Plenty of toys for hunting and the range.

I'm down to the following:
22lr (pistol and rifle)
9mm (pistol and rifle)
223/5.56
.308/7.62X51
12ga.

Pretty much covers all my bases.

Strangely no-one claims having a 10 gauge.
My dad had a 32" side by side that is now mine. I drag it out every couple years when we shoot clays. Great for picking up the missed clays.

22lr
223 Rem. 5.56
6dasher
6.5x47
300blk
300norma mag

Tempted to build a 260ai again but this short list does everything I need to do from arms length to past a mile. Plinking competition social hunting

Nothing wrong with collecting as many as you want. I wonder how many you could really be proficient with at a time

Let's see:

.22LR
.22 Magnum
.223
.25
.30-40
.380
9mm.
.38 Super
.38 Special
.357 Magnum
.44 Special
.45 ACP
.45 Colt
12 gauge
20 gauge

Nope, don't think I'm going with fewer chamberings; not yet at least.

Still enjoying the ones I got, might even add a few more!
