My choice was a Taurus pt-111 12-round compact, and later a Taurus 24/7 13 or 17-round compact.
The pt-111 is under 350 at Academy now.

My next purchase will most likely be a kahr cw45. Buds has them for $359 and I have seen them locally for $329 recently

Just realized you weren't the OP. Brock? Have you decided?
I am thinking real hard on a Ruger P95, there's a guy locally wanting 300 bucks for it with a holster, but I don't know how good it would be for a lefty. The sig looks really nice , but can't find any locally & since I'm 20, I have to keep my purchases FTF, a real pain. There's a few, but the people are wanting 450+

I'm just thinking hard on the P95 because I'm wondering If I just don't like it, if I will be able to get my money back out of it.

I'll throw another vote in for the SP2022, it is one of the more highly tested pistols out there, I believe France bought over 250k to arm its military/police.

I've got an SP2022 in .40, and while it is a little heavy for a polymer, it is really a great shooting pistol. Also, the trigger is very, very smooth, in fact the double action is smoother and lighter feeling than my P226.

I carry mine sometimes when I'm out in the woods, and with a decent holster, it really carries very well. The only downside to the SP2022 is that they only come with one magazine. Its not too big of a deal though, I watched cdnn and picked up 3 more mags on sale for 20-something each. CDNN seems to run this kind of deal on a reoccuring basis, so I'd bet you could buy extra mags for a similar price.

The bottom line is , the SP2022 really should cost more, but the French government has already done us the favor of covering Sig's development and tooling costs. Now it looks like the company can sell them off for their straight per-unit costs + some % profit.

I've never saw a g26 used here for 350, I have however saw noobs trying to get 500 bucks for them...

It's hard to find decent deals around here because I guess it's cool to ask for MSRP + 20% on used firearms.

Yah, I really want the Sig since it looks more lefty friendly, also a little less hard on the eyes than the Ruger P95, but I can't find any locally for what they are actually worth. Either way I am most likely making my decision on or by this Saturday

I have read the Ruger P95 was issued to Military, is the true?

I've put several hundred rounds through my Ruger P345 and really like it. Accurate and pleasant to shoot and no problems. I especially like the hammer DA/SA operation. It's nice to carry with a round in the spout and the hammer down. No need for the safety with that DA first round. The safety's main use for me is as a de-cocker.

Hands down, the best handgun for the money is the Sig Pro (2022). I can't believe that such a quality gun is selling for less than $350 NEW.

I have made my mind up on the 2022 in 9mm.

But I have a question.

Should I buy a NIB newer one online for ~350 after FFl & shipping or buy a USED one this guy 2008 that was made in Germany & has all the proof marks for 400?

Do the German made Sig Sp2022 command a higher price & are they worth it?
Thanks guys, Also I hope this thread has helped other people too since I see it has over 1k views

With the older sigs many will argue that the German will be worth the price difference. Personally I don't care, I would buy the one at the lower price.

My last NIB pistol for that price range was a Bersa Thunder UC 9 Pro.

DAMN do I miss her. Ate everything without complaint. NEVER a failure of any kind with any ammo. or in any condition. Was super easy to clean/field strip. Great feel and handling.

Getting a replacement for her this summer!

After thinking through the 20-yr-old CZ-75 thing, I would instead go for either a CW9 or a 2022, like many have said. I have CZs already, and either of these would be an excellent carry 9mm (whereas steel CZs are a bit heavy).

Against my cheaper side I went with the 400 dollar Sig Sp2022 that was made in Germany. Mainly because it doesn't have much wear & came with everything including the factory test target so I figured it was a good buy & 2 mags

I will post pics in a new thread to keep this one purely informative for others to see.
