Good Pro-Gun Speaker who Happens to be Black

It's good to have an example of a black man from Chicago who's strongly pro-gun. This guy addresses the main gun control issues. Anti-gun people in the black community (big voting block) would likely be open to listening to this guy.

It has always surpised me as black leaders, if they followed logic, would be some of the strongest RKBA as they have had situations in living memory where they had to defend themselves without the help of LEO (many of which where attacking their communities) but politics are not always logical.

Thanks for the post Jake - this is a great oratory on the idiocy of gun control laws period, the fact that it is delivered by someone who is not professionally associated with the NRA, and who is of an ethnic background that traditionally doesn't support gun rights is great.

There great links but at the same time I showed them to some co-workers and lets just say I hope their not the typical mindset. . I work in a city hospital in Bushwick Brooklyn and work closely with many black guys and gals. There responses were that of pure Brady Talking Points and emotional driven B.S.. Many have stories of friends and family that were innocent and gunned down by one thug or another.

They could'nt comprehend how the situation could have been different if they were allowed to CCW or even keep a gun in their house.:banghead: You can read the police blotter in the NY POST and see two - three home invasion robberies a day but they don't make the news or even get labeled as a home invasion. People sometimes make up their mind and you just are not gonna change it no matter how much fact / evidence / logic you have.

Same here. I have never gotten why there were never more blacks supporting concealed and open carry. Just as I've said in other threads, if you believe that the militia is every able body male within a certain age range capable of bearing arms wouldn't that include all ethnic groups? Not just white guys as often portrayed in the media.
