I've been wanting to add another light to my collection so, I picked up a Surefire 6P the other day. I got home and took it out of the box and fired it up...and it's one of the dimmest lights I've ever seen. I have a 6V Streamlight that's at least ten times brighter. My little Insight X2 is also much, much brighter. I replaced the batteries and looked for any signs of a problem but, I can't find anything wrong with the light. Anyone else have this kind of problem with a 6P or are they supposed to be this dim?

I have owned several 6P's and carried one for years. All were bright as day and never gave me a single problem. I would try replacing the batteries again or verify that the batteries you are replacing are new. If that doesn't work then you may have a bad bulb. Contact Surefire and they will make it right.

I don't own a 6P, but have a G2 and other comprable lights. They are blindingly bright. If it's dim, something is wrong. Contact Surefire.

I really like the c/s from Surefire. They're great! Also, I have a few diff't units from them, from a G2, Z2, L2 and probably something coming for my RRA AR. They make good quality stuff!

My G2 & 6P put out so much light I sometimes don't point them forward, but up, as the reflection ruins my night vision.

I'm on my third P60 Lamp Assembly. The first two were deffective. I don't trust the P60. But, thats me, ALOT of other people and LEOs/military/swat/whatever have used thiers with absolutely no problems at all. Appearently I just have really bad luck.
