Gun ranges in Bakersfield CA

quick question guys,

anybody know of an outdoor range in Bakersfield? I have a box of remington hollow points and a box of WWB that are in the ammo can that i cant shoot at the indoor range I go to. I am going to bakersfield this weekend to do some computer work for my mother in law, so i figured i would try to blow through this while i was up there.

5 Dogs. Out in the hills 20 miles north of town just off Woody Glenville Road. They have rifle ranges, ping gongs, various pistol, clays, etc. Pretty reasonable and a fun place to shoot.

heard they were private and only allowed members. what do you think it would cost to shoot there for an afternoon?

5 Dogs has several levels of membership, but you can get an annual for $20 + $8 per session to shoot. The member can take guests who also have to pay the $8. These costs as +/- a few dollars. I shoot there about 4-5 time per year, so there may have been some small increases.

Drive east on 58 through the mountains. Turn north on 14 and pull off anywhere in the desert. The trip will be about 45 minutes one way.
