Why are they so expensive????

When I see cleap Glock mags everywhere, I just seethe......

Who knows where to buy economically priced (new? GASP) H&K mags?

Like for a USP .40 full size?

By the way I bought one a few years ago, new, from a reseller. It had the H&K logo on it, so I assume it was genuine. Wouldn't work. Feed lips began to separate and it wouldn't feed correctly.

If you can live with only 10 rounds in a mag then CDNN has HK USP 40 mags for only $9.99

Now, I don't know about you, but if these are going to be solely for range use or to stockpile for SHTF, then I can live with cheap 10 rounders.

Unless it is strictly for target use, I would avoid the 10 round mags. If they are put together like the USP45 10 rounders, they will have a tendency to break when dropped during mag changes. The floor plates are not a good design on those mags. The full capacity mags are great. They have a totally different floor plate design that is pretty robust. My only complaint with H&K's mags are that the springs can be just a little too weak on the USP mags. Sometimes the follower will fail to come up with enough force to lock the slide back when you empty the mag. I like to take the springs and give them a little bit of a stretch and then put them back in the mag. It seems to help. Alot of folks replace the springs with Wolff springs.

EVERYTHING HK is expensive. That's just the way it is. Always has been.
It's not just the U.S. Dollar vs. Deutschmark value, it's an exclusivity thing. Look at Glock (Austria) and Walther (Germany) for price comparisons. I believe that HK prefers to inspire and maintain brand snobbery in its customers, rather like BMW.:)
