I went down to South Texas this weekend to meet my wife sister and her husband. Long story short, she just found that she had a sister about 3 months ago and we only met them once. Decided to go down to their house this weekend. Lucky me the guy is really cool and a gun nut like me. They have quite a bit of land in the boonies so he invited me to come shoot. I brought my WASR, my CMMG and my Class III MP5.

Now I understand this is hillbilly, but we shot at branches in the water ( AR and AK blew them about 20 feet in the air) we also set bricks up at about 50 yards and they literally blew them up. These are the only videos I have. I know I'm not shooting for .5 MOA or any such thing as that, but it really drilled in why I love guns so much !!

I took the video on my iPhone, so for some reason it won't upload right. Hopefully you guys will get the idea. This was the 1st time he ever shot a machine gun, and an MP5 at that. As you can tell, we had fun.

You can call it Hillbilly but those sessions are always the best. I'm lucky to have 140 acres to shoot on and could not imagine going to a range,it seems you spend more time waiting for chuckle heads to clear their actions or post a target than you accually do dropping hammers.

That sounds cool, and shooting at water is a big ricchochet risk but with adequate downrange area, it is not much of a problem.
Agreed, and with the proper angle you can greatly minimize ricochets. I used to go fishing for Panfish like this...just used a .22lr instead of a 9mm with a happy switch. :)
