Cannot find the bookmark for the ballistics program I was using. Have rifle zeroed dead nuts at 50 yds but need to know where the bullet will be at 200 yards. I am using an AR-15 carbine with a carry handle mounted scope for the long shots. Any help will save me hours of sleep. Have a 3 gun match coming up in about 9 hours and have to load yet.

I'm not sure about 50 yards, but here's the normal come-ups for distance.

Normal come ups.

- From the target to 100 yds = 2 min.
- From 100 yds to 200 yds = 2 min.
- From 200 yds to 300 yds = 3 min.
- From 300 yds to 400 yds = 3 min.
- From 400 yds to 500 yds = 4 min.
- From 500 yds to 600 yds = 4 min.
- From 600 yds to 700 yds = 5 min.
- From 700 yds to 800 yds = 5 min.
- From 800 yds to 900 yds = 6 min.
- From 900 yds to 1000 yds = 6 min.

mmm..., that's a nice graph there w.e.g. I typically don't zero a ar at 50 yds, but with open sites, it seems to have a pretty good reach with a bbl at least 18 inces long.

Calc says that for the XM193 that I am using 55gr .223, that I should listen to the standard rule of thumb. Sight in at 50 yards and bullet will cross over line of sight again at 250 yards or there about. 200 yards its still 2" high from point of aim. Sweet, thanks for the calculator.

Look up the website for the JBL trajectory calculator. put in your rifle, distance, BC, velocity, and it will calculate the trajectory for you.

By the way, why zero at 50 yards? If you zero at 25 you get same point of inpact at 300. This is my understanding of the military 300 yard zero.

50 yards is about right for 200, in my experience, and about three inches high at 100. But that is not scientific or based on thousands of rounds at the bench. I zero scoped rifles at 100, but I do have my AR zeroed at 50 and it seems to be about on again at 200.
