I have seen numerous recent threads asking which rifle caliber or ammo type for said rifle is a good choice for defensive use.
Just about ANY center fire rifle cartridge will be more than powerful enough to immediately incapacitate or kill a criminal threatening you.
I seriously doubt that any man would know the difference between a round from a 7.62x39 or 30-30 or 7.62x51 if he were struck by one.
Even the .223 and the .30 Carbine have way more hitting power than most handgun calibers.
So if you decide a center fire rifle suits your needs as a self defense firearm don't worry about which caliber, or bullet type, or bullet weight to use. Anything fired from such a rifle is more than ample.
