hertiage 22 revolver question

i have a problem with a hertiage 22 revolver. when i go to cock the hammer sometime the hammer wont cock. then sometime it will i and i will see the trigger move forward. also the cylinder moves . i have taken it apart and there is a broken trigger spring. could this be the what is making all the problems?

That right there is your problem!

The flat spring controls both the trigger and the cylinder locking bolt.

Parts are available & a spring costs $5.00.
You probably should order two or three!

Chedk the hand - the little pivoting spur off the lower left side of the hammer. Mine was loose, and let the cylinder fall back a bit. If yours isn't perfect, buy that while you're there. $8.00
