Just saw a post on the net that Hodgeon Powder Co has signed an agreement with Olin Corp to begin distribution of Winchester-Western powders. All current W-W powders will coninue to be supplied but thru Hodgdon. I think this is good news but we will have to wait and see.

The first thing that comes to my mind is "price increase." Maybe its just me, but it seems that economies of scale do not work on the customer side anymore.

Ramshot IS Accurate Arms now. Western Powders, packager-distributor of Ramshot, bought out AA a while back.

The only manufacturers of smokeless powder in the US are Alliant and St Marks (was Olin-Winchester, now a division of General Dynamics.)

IMR has come out of Canada for some time.

Hodgdon packages and distributes powder from ADI (Australia) and St Marks under their own name, now also IMR and Winchester.

Western Powders brings in powder from Belgium and sells some from St Marks, now owns AA which has sold powders from all over the world, now mostly from the Czech Republic and some from South Africa.

Vihtavuori is made in Finland.

Alliant makes some powder here, some imported from Europe.
