I am new on here. I have read through alot of threads about holsters and Beretta handgun fitment. Mostly they are talk of holsters that fits the 92a1. (Including this one http://berettaforum.net/vb/showthread.php?t=69190) I do not see much on the "92fs type m9a1" which is what I have. I'd like to purchase a comfortable holster for range use, as I am not legally able to concealed/open carry here (NY).

I've seen these but they say 92fs, 92fs vertec & m9a1:

I've seen several "should", "probably will", "closest fit" comments which aren't definitive. I'd like a holster that is guaranteed to fit/work. Wouldn't like to have to return item(s). Please remember this will not be a daily carried firearm. Main use will be at range(s) during practicing. If there's a thread on this or info that I missed somewhere, please push me in the right direction. Thanks!

I have a Raven Concealment Phantom for my 1911. It is a great holster. It is very versatile allowing you to change ride height, and cant, and wear it Outside the Waistband (OWB) or Inside the Waistband (IWB). If you have a question about fit, I'd call them and ask. They are very helpful.

Be forewarned, the wait time for a Raven Concealment Phantom is measured in months. I bought my holster nearly 3 years ago and the wait time was 40 days. Last I checked, they were nearly double that.

Holster makers, in general, are not fond of returns unless the product is defective. Lots of us have multiple holsters. It is generally pretty easy to sell a holster, since many makers have lengthy wait periods. Check out the for sale section on this forum.

For a quick deliver range holster in kydex you may want to look at

Comp-Tac. The Belt Holster is a good one.

Blade-Tech. The SRB is a good choice.

Garrett Industries "Silent Thunder" is a cool leather lined kydex holster. I have one for my 1911, it is very nice.

I'm not that familiar with the whole Beretta 92/M9 line-up, but all these makers should make something that will fit your holster perfectly. You just need to specify what model you have.

I've mentioned on another thread, I don't consider a Beretta 92/M9 thread complete until forum member Shipwreck checks in. He has a "wheel-o-Berettas". He has a regular picture of one he carry's in a Comp-Tac IWB holster. If he doesn't chime in soon, you may want to search for him on the forum and get his advice.
