I am picking up a new KAHR PM9 today to carry mostly in the summer when wearing shorts with some kind of in the pants holster.

I already have a Ruger SP101 357, S&W 908, and SW1911SC.

The 1911 is my daily carry for now, and I will still carry it in the summer when im wearing pants with a good belt.

If yours is as good as mine you will do just fine. Run a couple of hundred rounds of cheap ball ammo through it, and don't worry about a few failures during the initial part of this exercise. You might find that you have to slingshot the slide instead of rack it at first, but this will change.

I have 1,000+ rounds through mine now, and it is still going strong. No failures of any kind after the first couple of boxes.

Get the Kahr Lube Diagram from this thread on Glock Talk. I strip mine down and perform this maintenance weekly. I pocket carry my PM9 in a Desantis Nemesis holster, and I highly recommend it.

I sure like mine. 750 or so rounds and zero malfunctions. I carry Speer Gold Dot 115's. It is more accurate than a pocket gun has a right to be.

With my fingers crossed, I bought one used. It's been great! Either the guy before me got lucky... Or this one was sent back to the mothership to be made reliable.

Regardless, it's proving to be a good one in my hands.

I do get a little slide bit from it. Other than that, I like it.

My PM9 is sweet. Sure like it.
I'll only caution you on one thing, when you re-assemble it, don't do what I did. Here's a link to my thread on this issues.

Make sure the tic marks are lined up right when assembling or you will have a major headache! Other than that mine has been great, no malfunctions or problems like others have experienced, and it carries great.

I also had a great PM9. The only problem it ever had was during the first 100 rounds, it had 2 rounds that didn't quite go fully into battery. Never another problem after that. I put about 800 rounds through it and carried it everyday for many months. Had to sell it a couple years ago to pay bills. :(

It's gonna be a little stiff while breaking it in especially when field stripping & reassembly. Expect a hiccup or 2 at first, but after the break-in period, you'll be good to go. The PM9 is my favorite gun. It flat-out disappears IWB or in your pocket with the right holster. I prefer the Fist ultrathin kydex holsters, but there are other good choices.

Thanks for all the info. I have the gun and I LOVE IT the way it feels and hides in my pocket. I cant wait to go shoot it.

Lube it with Tetra gun grease found at Walmart, that makes it super smooth. I think the Kahrs need grease not oil. My PM9 has been perfect.
