Hey guys. I'm looking into an electronic scale and yes I will buy check weights.

I found the hornady LNL bench scale on sale as well as the rcbs rangemasters and midway has more good reviews than bad and 99% of the bad are from like 3-4years ago for the hornady. Its seems like the beam will be a PITA so figured get the check weights and an electronic.

anyone use this scale or the rcbs?

I will be using a lee perfect powder thrower and dump then trickle 223 and 9mm rounds.

I've been using the Hornady bench model for about 4 yrs now with no problems. It came with calibration/check weights.

As with most electronic scales, you do need to let them warm up.

What I do is check the scale when I start a session and then I reset the scale (tare) prior to each weighing. This way it is zeroed each time.

If its reading zero when empty its zeroed already. Doing it again wont hurt and if it makes you feel good then do it. I know its not the OP's scale but I like my LNL autocharge. Never had a problem with it. It weighs right and if it goes over it tells me.

I tried the Hornady beam scale and went through several before I got one that the magnets were in properly. I could never get it to be repeatable. I also bought a GS 1500 and it has worked very well since last summer.
Hornady sent me a bench scale instead of sending another beam and I've only had it for a couple of weeks. Have to thank Seth from Hornady for that.
So far it has been working good as well. Time will tell how long the bench scale will stay working but I got to say that GS 1500 has really surprised me.
