How do YOU fill primer tubes?

Snuffy:
Come on over...break that stabbing habit.
I suggest you perfect the process using SPENT primers, as a few may end up on the floor (with the others already there:p).
Try it...it's not like I'm asking you to buy a Glock:what:
Thanks for posting.

Tilos,

Putting the Winchester trays against the lid and flipping works fine. However my old Remington benchrest and newer Federal primers are packaged on edge, who knows how they're going to come out.

Shimitup:
Oh no, on edge, what are they thinking.
Break out that fresnel lens again then.
Next thing you know they'll put them in plastic strips:uhoh:

I spoke to FA at the Shot Show last Jan. I told him they should produce the Vibra Prime again and he told me "You are like the 12th person who has come up to me and told me that. I will bring that up at the next meeting."

I'm sure if FA would build them again, they would find a ready market.

If Mr. Lee wasn't so adamantly against primer tubes, he would have had a similar product on the market and it would cost $9.95.

Thanks for the tip! I seriously need to try this out.

It seems like I spend way too much time stabbing those primers and chamber checking rounds - I could probably increase my reloading rate by 100 rds/hour if I could eliminate or speed up those steps.

Glock20:
He does!
Mr. Lee sells the replacement tray(s) and cover for his hand primer:).
I hope he doesn't read this thread and see what we're doing with them...filling tubes for green, blue, and red presses :uhoh:.
And those 2 parts are less then $9.95
Well maybe not, with shipping.

Thanks for reading/posting.

Glock20:
I know, I know, those 2 parts are the "prime" part and you have to provide the "vibra" part.
