Mine came with 2 mags, manual, lock, key, and total of 4 backstraps. S, M, L, XL. M is default installed, but I prefer L.
What to feed? I've been using Rem JHP green box, Rem Mega Pack, WWB, and Blazer alum.
Here in NY State one has to get a pistol registered before it can be picked up from the store. Since registration involves a weekday trip to the sheriff's office and then a weekly wait to receive the paperwork back by mail (Greene County), it takes a while.
When I showed up to pick up the P2000 I put the deposit on few weeks earlier, there were no magzines in the box - none whatsoever. In fact there were no 40 cal magazines in store. They had P2000 in 357 Sig but he could not give me their mags because they are marked for a different cartrige, even though they are the same.
The ordered the delivery for me - as well as a defective S backstrap - from the distributor but he claimed that P2000 comes with one mag. I was not sure, so I am checking today and it seems that they come with 2.
I paid $799 for that and mags are listed at around $40, so if he does not resolve it to my satisfaction, I will be pissed.
Unfortunatly for all intents and purposes the gun comes with as many magazines as you get with it from the shop. You are buying them along with the gun, just because it came from the factory with 2 magazines doesnt mean they are being sold to you along with the weapon. In the future thats something to work out with the shop before money changes hands.
For the record I think its bad business to cherry pick magazines like that, but that isnt going to stop a shop from doing it.
They are shipped with two....sometimes retailers will advertise a low price but that is because they yanked one magazine to sell seperate.......but this is the first I have ever heard of anyone yanking both. That is worthless and outrageous. I would complain to them and if that does no good I would complain to HK. I don't think they want someone like that to be one of their stocking dealers.
Now I remember that the P7 had the same problem [very common] and HK put out the word that their pistols come with TWO mags . If they are sold with one you're getting ripped off !!
Call the shop owner and tell him you need two magazines the gun came with, the HK website should confirm this.
If he plays dumb tell him that you will report his/ or the distributer's theft of the magazines to the police and the ATF. He robbed you plain and simple. You really dont want to ever do business with him again anyway.
What if you bought a new car and there was a hole in the dash where the radio should be but the factory invoice said it had a radio CD player??
The dealer plays ignorant I call the police and report the theft.
