I just received the OWB JIT Slide for L-frame revolvers in the mail today. Carries surprisingly well! Keeps the revolver nice and tight to the body. Its also tight enough to keep the cylinder from moving , but still draws well. It even fits a K-frame reasonably well. My model 15 could easily be carried with it and even concealed. I wish I'd have gotten this a month back. Then I could have CCW'ed with my jacket. It would have never shown up. I need a light short sleeve cover shirt now. Also, while the slight cant would make it hard for someone to just slide it out of the holster, I wish there was a thumb break version of this. I do like the extra security, and to have the hammer covered. However, for only about $25, I'm well satisfied so far out. I plan on shooting IDPA SSR with this holster and my 3inch GP.

where'd you order it from? I just bought a Bianchi 5BH and I don't like it, it doesn't hold my 4" GP100 tight enough to my body to conceal it unless I'm wearing a heavy coat. It also flops around too much, a better belt will help but I think a pancake style holster would help more.

Blue, thats exactly where I got mine from. They are so impossibly nice too. A good belt is a MUST. I wear a 5stitch wilderness belt. Great belt, the buckle can crush skulls too.

The JIT is the best kept secret in the holster world. I have three of them. An added benefit is that they also function quite well in the crossdraw position, especially if one is driving.

The Bianchi 5BH is a favorite of mine, but was designed mainly as a uniform or outdoorsman's holster.

But the right belt WILL help!

http://www.gunnersalley.com/ I called them. They didn't have the GP-100 specific, but I ended up with L-frame version. However, the bag says "will fit: S&W "L" Frame, Colt Lawman, Python, Trooper, S&W 581, 686, 681, 686, 696, Ruger GP-100, Taurus 66"

It didn't flop with me, but maybe its my gut that keeps it stable. I think I could cover it with a light jacket or a Hawaiian shirt.

If it is black, the finish will begin to flake off fairly soon. I have a JIT and IWB and both have the finish flaking. Several inquiries to DH have gone unanswered.

I'd like to know more about holsters for Ruger GP100 since I'm on my way of getting my CCW and it'll be a possible choice for CC.

Cannot go wrong with FIST for OWB. No nonsense...nice fit, easy draw from a good belt.
