Last Friday I took a good friend out to shoot pistols and he loved it so much that we ended the day at my favorite gun shop with him buying his first(he picks it up Oct. 4th) hand gun ever. He had previously been set on a 9mm, but ended up buying a used .22 bull-barrel ruger mkI as his first pistol instead. A great fist pistol I think. Better even than that-both his parents are now looking buy pistols. His Pop wants a .357/.38 revolver and his Mom wants to take one of those introductory classes for women and then decide what gun she wants for herself. I have, GLADLY, volunteered to take them all shooting next weekend to at least let them try the different hand guns I have. Previously these were shotgun/duck hunting people only. Do I win anything for bringing folks into what is a great, if expensive hobby? Even if I don't, I don't care. More people to shoot with is a good thing. Go Me!
