I own (2) Glock 19's and settled on these particular guns and their calibers after much learning, studying, real-life experiences and deliberation. I was angry when the military gave up the 1911 for the Beretta, after being a die-hard .45acp man before my "epiphany".
But I have recently garnered an itch for another 1911, a SA G.I. model and a Beretta 92FS. I just want them, there really is no other justification for it. I like the history and style and respect of the 1911 and like the lines, feel and design of the Beretta. I'm just looking for feed-back by others who've "scratched an itch".

Colt

I am also suffering from the same affliction. Mine are Colts. I've just bought 4. Paid for a Colt CCO. Then put 3 other Colts, (2 WWI's {thanx wild alaska}, and a Delta Elite,{still waiting on it to arrive}), on the credit card.

Now I'm trying to find some "scratch" for my itch. Damn pain meds sure do lower your "I'll never use this credit card unless it's an emergency threshold" LOL

Hrmm... well I grew up a 1911 guy and that was my first centerfire handgun. I've generally embraced 9mm, 40 and 45s though so after Duane Thomas's glowing review of the then-$229 Arcus HP clone, I wanted one super bad. I still want one, but I passed on the two at the store at the time and instead bought a basic EAA Witness with two 16/17 round mags for about $250 pretty much because of how well it fit my hand. I bought a few more and some CZs here and there and now, the CZ75 - esp the PCR/P-01 - is basically my favorite handgun.

I guess that was my most rewarding itch scratch. :p

Gee, it's funny ... you seem to have an itch for the two pistols I've always itched for ... and now have scratched far too many times (as far as the wife is concerned). I finally noticed that I might as well stop buying Glocks, 'cause they always seem to get traded for 1911s ... and I still enjoy my Berettas as well. Lately I itch for more and more S&W revolvers ...
