I decided to completely disasemble my new Single-Six (as I do with all my new guns) and I think I 'ruined' a part while putting it back together.
I don't want to say how I did this because I feel stupid enough already. But I semi-ruined the pawl spring plunger. The spring is compressed and deformed. I installed it anyway...the revolver works 90%...
Before I took it apart, the revolver would 'click' when the gate was open and the cylinder was rotated clockwise. Now it spins completely free.
Is this because of the compressed/deformed spring?
When I open the gate, the cylinder locker thingie under the cylinder retracts (is that supposed to happen?). When I spin the cylinder clockwise, there is no resistance or sound (it used to click before I fudged it up). If I try to turn it counter-clockwise, it won't go (which is normal, right?)
Does this mean my pawl isn't getting enough pressure from that spring I messed up?
If you must no, I messed up the spring/plunger by insterting it into a SCREW HOLE instead of its own hole. I then proceeded to screw a screw into that, buggering it up.
