I know there are a bazillion threads here and everywhere else concerning the shortage, but come on people - lead bullets too? No one has plated, like Berrys etc. No one has lead either. I may be paranoid but I think there's more going on than we're lead to believe.

I cast my own for pistols and have numerous buckets of wheel weights. That's all well and good, but I can't find primers nor does anyone have powder either. There's no need to take our guns away, they've removed the ammunition instead. Know what a gun is called with no ammo - a stick. That's all that's going to be left, swinging sticks to defend ourselves.

I get so pissed off when I see the emotion running the arguments. No one wants to deal in facts because facts don't further the gun grabbers cause. Instead they parade all these people out who are victims of gun crime and say look - see what your evil guns do. For every one person who is a victim, I can parade out 100's who have been helped, yet we don't. For some reason we conservatives feel we should take the high road - well it doesn't work. If this war is to be won, and whether you want to admit it or not, we are in a war, we need to fight using the same tactics the libs do.

I'm sorry for getting side tracked but it infuriates as to what is happening. So take it to the end - a year from now, maybe two, people, the horders, will have 1000's of rounds of ammunition, powder, bullets - then what? Will they shoot it? Will they continue to hoard and continue to drive up costs?

It's frustrating and I still think there's more to this than meets the eye. If they truly wanted to protect people, then they'd (politicians) crack down on drunk driving, liquor, smoking, hey - here's one - how about they crack down on drugs? Hmmm - Want to protect us - then eliminate the illegal drugs and crime plummets. What about illegal immigration too while we're at it? It's not about saving people from the criminals - it's about control and power.

Whew! I'm done....

BIL got primers and powder shipped to him week before last. He placed his order and waited for 6 weeks and it showed up on his doorstep. I picked up 1,000 primers at the last gun show a few weeks ago. I expect 1,000 .38 158 gr. SWC this afternoon.

I think the problem is that immediate gratification is bumping up against supply/demand.
