About 10:30 last night I heard several tire screeching sounds and people yelling right after that. I went to observe and i noticed 3 cop cars with a car pulled over. I made a small crack in the window so I could hear what was going on, I heard 'Down on the ground' and 'Throw it down.' Then the cops were telling a few people to go inside and the guy on the ground is screaming "Im going to kill you" you MF and so on. Apparently he had a fight with the people in the next apartment or something. He did have a shotgun in his hands and another "peace" in his car. Anyway I was wondering how I could go about finding out what happened. I don't know the next door neighbors so asking them is kinda out of the question. Any ideas you guys have would be appreciated.

Hi Roadwild17,

In every community there is a person, usually sixty or older and male that spends all of their time either listening to a scanner or telling any and everybody that will listen (and often when they aren't listening) the happenings in the neighborhood in great detail.

Go ye and seek this person out. You will find out what's going on and the person in question will have the company they so desparately desire.

Who cares what happened? I'd move!

Just kidding... Seriously though, if you live in an apartment complex, how about asking the manager? Make up a reason... "I just don't feel safe here. What the heck went on last night? If this is the kind of place where crack heads hang out, I want out of my lease...." and so on.

Selena's post cracked me up.

Usually the community will have a local paper that posts weekly Police reports. You should at least be able to get the main details from that.

Ummmm, believe me I understand about normal human curiosity, but if you spotted a gun -- or saw that the cops had their hands on their holsters -- what the heck were you doing standing at the window?

That's a really good time to be elsewhere....
