If you own a Primos scope spotlight, I'd like to hear from you.

I'm thinking about purchasing this spotlight, but I have a small scope with not much space between the adjustment knobs and the rings. I was hoping someone could supply me with the dimensions for the clamp.

NOTE: On the spotlight itself, I would also appreciate comments. I do accept, however, that companies often will fail to represent their product honestly, but indeed this does influence my interest in the product. I hunt in the woods, and seeing 100 yards that aren't full of trees is rare. I do, however, expect it to be a durable little bastard that can light up the woods. A good deal more potent than the dorcy flashlights I would hope.

According to both my mother and THR, if you cannot say something nice, don't say anything...

I have one, somewhere. Took it out once, got back from the field and threw it in a box full of other things I wish I had not bought, then ordered a light from http://www.feederlights.com/

Heck, I have a cheaper incandescent bulb light I bought from Gander Mountain back in the 70s that ain't that bad with a good, bright scope. I use it on hogs to near 100 yards. Key is the scope. I had it on a couple of cheapish scopes and it was okay. Well, the Weaver ain't all that "cheap", but my Weatherby Supreme 3x9x44 is just plain awesome in low light, don't even need the spotlight if more'n half a moon is out. Actually, I paid less for that scopeon a sell out than I did for the Weaver from Midway. I have it mounted on a Savage 110 in 7 mag, bought it after that gun destroyed a Simmons "whitetail", highly advertised junk IMHO.

I don't, however, know about this particular lamp. I bought mine for 25 bucks or something like that way back around 1976. Amazing that I still have it, actually. :D I really never used the thing until I started night hunting pigs.

If it says Primos Brothers on it you don't want it. The Primos Brothers brand is the cheapest no good junk you can possibly buy. And I am being nice their products are CR@P.

I know a lot of guys with Team Primos Nikon scopes that will disagree with that.

Primos brothers do not build Nikon scopes. Rather they have a marketing/endorsement deal with Nikon. You can argue until the cows come home but Primos Bros equipment is bottom tier made for Wal Mart built in China Crap. And you should expect as much if you are planning on buying it.

Damn, I'm glad to hear that cause I've been lookin' at this Primos layout blind/decoy bag. I wondered about it, what would be the quality. I reckon I'll take a pass on it.
