I recently ordered a replacement locking block from Brownells for my Italian made Beretta 92FS. When it arrived, I was able to fit the new part easily enough, but the angled slot is too narrow to accommodate the slightly thicker operating rod that passes through the barrel lug. I assume the replacement part was made by Beretta USA, but can't say for sure. I'm now left wondering if there are slight differences between the Italian made Berettas and those manufactured in the U.S, which would make parts interchangeability questionable?
I would like to order and fit an adjustable rear sight, but am now concerned that if I order one from Brownells or Beretta USA the dove-tail measurements will be different.
Anyone have knowledge of the two makes of Beretta, and their parts compatability?

Thanks for reading.

The latest generation lock block uses a thicker pin...when you order it from Beretta, it comes wit the block, the thicker pin, a new roll pin, and a new recoil spring.
I put a new block in my 1997 Taurus pt92 recently, and used the Beretta parts...
