I use 22 mag Quick Strip 10 shot ammo strips for reloading my S&W 351C. I only load 7 rounds per strip with a space skipped between each pair of rounds. You can load 2 rounds at a time without the space but getting them lined up and stripped off is much slower than having the space. So what do you use in your J Frame for speed loading and why?

I use HKS loaders on all 3 of guns to keep the motions the same. I would use safari land if they made one for the new king cobra but they don’t.— and HKS is cheap. Like me.

HKS or speed strips. I do space the latter as suggested in the OP>

Like others have already mentioned either an HKS Speedloader or some Bianchi Speed Strips loading two rounds, skip one, then loading three rounds.

I use HKS as well for my .38 Spl J frames and my K frames. I started out using the KKS and tried Safari Land and a couple of others that I can’t remember the names of but decided not to confuse myself switching speedloaders so I just stayed with the HKS.

I recently bought a Speed-Beez loader and loading block for my S&W 63 .22lr but haven’t tried it out yet. I like the Speed-Beez concept but I want to play with it to see if it’s worth trying for my .38s and .357s. They appear okay if you have speedloader pouches or holders but I don’t think they would do well tossed in one’s pocket like an HKS. I will have to play around with the one I have to see.

I'm not fast with speed strips, but they are decent for holding spare ammo in a flat condition.

I also have HKS and Safariland. I definitely prefer HKS for rimfire, but I've come to prefer the compact Safariland for centerfire.

I use five star speed loaders because they make loaders for every revolver I might want to use them on. That way I’m not confused on which way to twist, or if I should push, etc. They are also very well made.

I prefer speedloaders from HKS but I used to like Bianchi Speed Strips also. However, I found that, for me, speed strips became brittle with age and tended to not show that until they would break either while carrying or, worse, in use. When I realized brittleness was a generic issue and not an isolated phenomenon, I quit depending on them. Speedloaders are faster, more durable, and not at all hard to carry, IMO. Nothing against speed strips otherwise but, to me, that’s a big flaw in an age of sudden and unexpected shortages.
