just got a new Ruger mk III .22

just bought a new ruger pistol. i pick it up tommorrow. looks like a great target pistol. heres a pick of what they look like. i paid $425.00 for it. got it for the wife to shoot. she has never fired a handgun and i thought my colt .45 1911 was a bit big for her to start with. she doesnt know yet, i'm going to surprise her with it.http://66.150.49.152/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=42367252

Enjoy it. Ruger makes a heck of a good .22 pistol. Early models did have some reported issues with the loaded chamber indicator resting on the rim of the cartridge possibly causing it to fire if struck/dropped but I think they took care of this. You might just want to double check into this. Other than that me thinks you, your wife, your kids and your kids kids will have a very nice .22.
