I'll go out on a limb here because I have not shot that particular model of Kimber.
But, if I am not mistaken, they sell in the $17-1800 area? I'll assume that if you are willing to spend that much for a 1911, you require a perfect trigger and outstanding accuracy that will last a long time?
I think once you reach that level you might want to look at the other offerings also, like Baer, Wilson, Brown, Springfield makes some custom guns. There are other true custom guns you can have "made" by a one man shop, but they can take a long time and probably cost more.
In the end, if you want a Kimber only, you probably will get more gun for the money if you buy the cheapest Kimber that has the features you want, i.e. adjustable sights, checkering( both expensive to do after the fact) and have a pistolsmith give you high quality trigger job with better componants and have the accuracy adjusted to what you want. That could mean simply a "refit" if needed and a match bushing or bulleyes accuracy with a match bbl.
All that is a long winded and polite way of saying that I think there are much better guns out there above the $800- 1000 range.
