Ladies' weapons.....

In this artproject the glamour of fashion system is mixed with the common perverse and morbid fascination for weaponry.

It's a good thing nobody has mentioned '9mm, a good ladies caliber' in this thread. That really irks me.

I would have thought that people would say .45ACP is better for women? The 1911 has little recoil, is easy to use, etc.

Oh good, 3 posts in and this thread is being hijacked into a 9mm v .45ACP thread.

I can't say that I know many women that would prefer a Desert Eagle for their weapon...

I'm not sure what makes these "ladies' weapons." The tacky paintjobs and glued on fur? If I were a woman, I'd be annoyed, if not a little offended.

TechBrute, I swear, Weimadog started it! :D

The only "ladies weapon" I've seen that my girl isn't offended by are in the Lady Smith lineup. That and she thinks most carbine semis are "pretty".

She sounds like a keeper. :D

Boy is she. I remember the first time she saw the "I refuse to be a victim" slogan; she said something along the lines of "that is so right". Needless to say, I'm quite happy, even if her anti-gun parents aren't.

...he said, yet again off topic.

Back ON topic..

Here is a more subdued ladies handgun, one of the LS lineup.

I can certainly see a gunmaker appealing to a woman's superior sense of asthetics, but the guns it the original post are ugly as sin (this opinion was confirmed by my wife, who is better at judging what's good looking than I am.) My wife asked if that was the gun equivelant of a transvestite hooker.

The LS lineup is pretty nice looking to me. I don't care for S&W autos, though, so I'm secretly plotting something that will spruce up a gun for my wife.

That UZI...

looks like a hammer drill. Hmmm... maybe we could just call it that - maybe import the vast amount of UZIs coming on the market with their conversion program to M-16. Let's see... Black & Decker - "Hammer & drill to your heart's content."

I'll bet many of you will find the specs conducive for marketing to a broad range of "personal needs".

:neener: Hey, Cool. A Chromed AK. I wonder if it has........Oh nevermind. We've all heard this punchline already.

Seriously, while shopping for a "Ladie's Gun" for Mrs. AZLib, one of the best pieces of advice I received was to look at something in stainless. I have to confess that I'm always attracted to the latest in Tactical Black. But when your Significant Other has to pull out her weapon, the first thing you want to have happen is for the BG to think "--Expletive Deleted--! The --Rhymes with Rich-- has got a Gun!!". It might back the BG out of there, and keep her from firing the thing at all.

IIRC this was posted on TFL.

I for the life of me cannot understand the thinking that the female gender cannot appreciate, use, ...you name it...shoot any darn gun, in any caliber a male can.

Hey, I have seen women out shoot me...and I'm a guy...with MY GUN. Do folks really think that the female gender is that weak, dumb, stupid, vulnerable....etc?

What do I know, I open car doors for women, take out the trash , and provide covering fire when a lady is reloading. :D

Despite all this...My ex divored ME - go figure.

I'm adoptable tho' ;)

Let's see...I own three guns bought from lady friends: a Glock 30 (.45), a Glock 29 (10mm) and a S&W640 (.38)...the ladies themselves carry calibers like 44mag, .45acp, .45 Colt and similar. Not a pink or frilly gun in the bunch :) But a hand grenade which blends with the carpet might be useful...

No, you don't understand...

This is the most Uber-Tactical stuff you can have!!

When your opponent takes one look at your weapon and goes irrevocably, instantly blind, you probably won't even have to shoot him!:neener:

What have they been smoking and where can I get some?? :neener:

No one ever went broke underestimating the taste [vulgarity] of the American public - H.L. Menchen

Repeat after me: "Guns [self-defense weapons] are NOT fashion accesories!"

Now I could see and understand the practical need for such.

So - where can I get "sandstone" grenades ( short pile carpet)? Is this appropriate for "desert sand" Berber carpet ...or would that be uncouth and distastful?

[ I'm eclectic...no fashion sense...means I can get by with this idea - right?] ;)

looking at those photos made me want to throw up and hurt the guy who would do this to beautiful weapons. he is a sick, sick man.
