In the world of endless information on the internet I think print media still has a place.

I am interested to see what you all have. Might pick a few more up for some light reading during this era of seemingly endless free time.

Here are most of my gun books I still have. I only included one loading manual so as not to have 20 pieces of essentially the same thing.

The books on Welding and Machining I am considering gunsmithing books. I know they have helped immensely down that road.

I can't even think of how many gun related books I have spread all over the house. While I enjoy having so much information on many topics on the internet, I prefer tutorial and technical books on the shelf. Between black powder books and history, reloading manuals, technical books, and experiences of famous shooters like Elmer Keith and others, the pile would get pretty darn tall.

Saw that one, huh? I should have the “Hammer’s Slammers” series by David Drake on the shelf ... and Pournell’s “There Will Be War” series.
You mean this one-

Thats my second paperback copy which I found at a garage sale a few years ago. I wore out the first one when I was a kid.

Way too many to list, easily over a couple of hundred books about guns, hunting, target shooting, collecting, reloading, reference material, etc.; not to mention thousands of gun magazines going back to the early fifties. I'm a child of the fifties when there was no internet and everything you wanted to know about guns, shooting, hunting, reloading was found only in books and magazines. They, and the authors that spun the stories and information, became my friends and I'm indebted to them-if not overly enamored (what am I to do with this stuff?).:oops:o_O:confused::uhoh::scrutiny::(:)

most of my library are reliading manuals.

I do have a bunch of Colby books in a box somewhere. I just about wore them out when i was a kid .

I have to go hunting. After shooting the pics of my gun-related book shelves, I know there are others that aren't shelved properly. I know, for instance, I have a copy of the ABCs of Reloading around here somewhere ...

I don't think I could get all my gun books on my bookshelves in one picture! I try to buy as many gun books as I can for a decent price. The issue isn't finding them; it's finding them for a price I want to pay (I find the same principle applies to guns)
I generally enjoy older books due to having more information regarding older and now out of production firearms.
People always ask how I got a lot of my knowledge; I read a lot. When I started getting into guns I read everything I could get my hands on.
Contrary to popular belief, not everything is on the internet.

Sixteen shelves covering flintlocks to full auto. Two are five shelf bookcases. One is a four shelf bookcase. Then there are other shelves or placed atop of two bookcases because I ran out of space. One 40" long shelf filled with books on sniper rifes/sniping (and about three more on sniping). This excludes the two shelves. (one Union, one Confederate) on sharpshooters and sharpshooter rifles. One shelf filled with armourer manuals and one filled with binders filled with stuff from gonnesmithing school. Bet you guys can tell I'm not a young guy.

I just posted a couple duplicates in the PIF thread if interested ... and they're gone.
