Hello,

I just got a new 300blk Handi rifle and want to start loading for it. I got some Serria pro 220gr bullets and the load data on Hodgdons website onlys shows the max grs. I wanted to see if anyone had a load range so I can work up a load. I have H110, IMR 4227, and Titegroup-not sure if this one will even work. I am looking for subsonic data. Thanks

With H110 I would start at 6.5gr and work your way up. When you are working with subsonics please ensure every single round hits the backstop and not stuck in your bore. Also with subsonics make sure they stabilize first before trying with a suppressor to avoid baffle strikes.

I have also worked up a load with IMR4227 9.6gr with 245gr lead bullet cast by MBC I have shot it over the chronograph but did not really test for accuracy because I was shooting it in a AR platform and bolt lock back was not functioning, the load was to light.

All the guys on this site hurt my feelings though by not mentioning my 300 blackout page. :) Only joking --- please no one get up tight. I like this cartridge so much that I dedicated a page to it. This follows my journey from building a 300blackout ar to reloading for it along with all my loads being shot over a chronograph and weather conditions recorded. I am biased but it is one of the best I have seen and I continue to add to the loads, not to mention many of the loads have been tested and shot in my friends rifles, ar and bolt action with suppressor and without.

14.8 Grs of AA #9 gives me about 1875 to 1900 FPS with a 147 Gr FMJ (Pull downs). It makes a nice plinker load. I sure miss reasonably priced 147 Gr pull down bullets. AA #9 will work, but isn't going to give top velocities.

I have no idea what the pressure is.

Start low and work up.

Welcome to THR

Very nice and one of the most all-inclusive sets of data I've seen. When I was searching for 300 BLK load data, your page never came up but I've bookmarked it now. Thanks for your hard work.
