What kind of wisdon do you have for loading for an AR chambered in .223 Wylde, since the chamber is a "hybrid" between the two rounds? (let's consider a 70-ish grain slug, FMJBT or HPBT) ?
I dont think from a loading standpoint it makes any difference except you may be able to get near the lands where a milspec 556 barrel your not even close, from the few I checked. Follow standard procedures and all will be good.

That brings a thought, would/should one seat a longer COAL? And does Wylde open up different bullet options? (80/90 grain VLD Berger types, perhaps?) The rifle I have in mind has an 18" SS 1:7 twist.
Bob Hahin has designed the Original Bob Sled(OBS) as a single round loading device for AR-15 and similar pattern rifles. A single round loading device is a magazine that holds no rounds. Its purpose is to allow the loading and firing of a single round at a time during competition, at the benchrest, or out varmint shooting
90s are either used in bolt actions with very deep throats or 224 val. 80s are plenty and generally servis rifles top out at 77s which are tailored more to mag length.
When I was shooting Service Rifle competition, my Compass Lake AR-15 has a Frank White chamber which is similar to a Wylde chamber. I'd load 69 grain Sierra SMK's to magazine length.
I only shot competition on a short course (100 yards) so I had no need to use the 80 grain bullets. The 80 grainers cannot be loaded to magazine length and are only useful for slow fire stages.
