Looking to work up some loads for 338 RUM with 250 sierra match kings. Cant find a whole lot of date. Can anyone give me a starting load and what powder would work or give me a link. I know that RL 22 is a good powder for the round from all I have read and my bullet choice is 250 smks this is just a paper puncher and looking for a load for distance shooting. Any help would be appreciated.

Lots of data here for 250 grain bullets ... it is for Hornady bullet, but by using starting data ... you should be able to work up to a safe load with no problem, just start out at the bottom and work up.

This data is for the Speer 250 gr, but the same process of working up a load could be used for it also.

Looks like Retumbo and Reloader 25 are both good powders for the 333 RUM

According to the Sierra manual The most accurate load with the 250 gr MK was 96.4 grains of Retumbo for 2950 fps. The starting load for Retumbo was 84.4 grains and max load was 98.8 grains. This is out of the Sierra 5th edition manual. Starting load of Relader 22 with the 250 MK bullet was 80.8 grains max load is 89.8 grains.
