Luger will not fire, trigger problems

Dad brought this home from service and i don't know that he ever shot it. I tried to shoot it and couldn't get any action from the trigger,nor felt any hammer / firing pin drop. Disasembled it and I do not understand the firing mechanism. Looking for info on net, I found a recommendation to go to this site and ask question about a luger problem. That, "There would be 20 luger experts answer real quick". Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Pardner, you only allowed your post 14 hours, most of which was overnight. You also didn't give sufficient information for anyone to diagnose the problem. I turned my computer off at 5:00 PM last night, and turned it back on again at 10:00 today.

Getting way too old to set up all night waiting on 1st. post Luger questions that might happen, maybe.

Since it appears JRG2 is good at "figuring it out", I suggest we allow a good 14 hours after any future JRG2 posts, so he can figure it out again....gaining that all important self-esteem along the way.
