I have a Lyman case trimmer that trims slightly off square. I have tried contacting technical support at Lyman and just get an answering machine telling me to leave a number but they have yet to call back (trying for over 3 months now). Anyhow, I'm just trying to find out which part of the trimmer I should replace to get it to cut square. Should I replace the piece that holds the shell or the rod that holds the cutter. Probably an easy fix but I hate to start buying parts and find out I bought the wrong ones. Anyone else have this problem? Any recommendations on how to fix this trimmer? Thanks!

Lyman makes several trimmers, all based on the same parts from what I can see, so we need more info.

The old hand-crank model like I have, hold the case stationary, and the cutter spins.

The motorized versions, spin the case and hold the cutter.

It's called the Univeral Case Trimmer. I has the option of using a hand crank or hand drill (I am using the hand drill option). Thanks!

On my old one, the piece that holds the shell (jaws) has a nut on the back. Loosen this and rotate it or shim it to make it square with the cutter head. Not sure if new ones have the nut?
