I also have the Uberti SS 1858 and have been thinking about getting a conversion cylinder.
Did it just drop in or did you have to make it fit?

Thank you, It's the only fluted cylinder I own, I honestly only bought it because it was marked down over 100 bucks so I couldn't resist

Unfortunately for my wife I'm well aware of the ol' birthday special, I usually upgrade my family's sleeping bags or tents once a year if needed using the birthday special. We keep a few bags in the car and a tent because well, look around you lol. Things are crazy!
I'm not crazy about the flutes but it shoots very well, the stainless steel 1858 is a beast of a six gun. It feels completely different then my 1858 Pietta in a good way. That being said my Pietta can shoot a gnat off a flys a$$ at 20 yards.
Now I'm a colt man and my favorite gun is my 1860 or 1851 chambered in 44 BUT that Uberti is a fine machine and worth every penny I paid for it and then some.
