I started to place an order when it first came into my in-box, but when I was done, the shipping on 1,000 bullets was $29.00. That didn't make them such a good deal after all, so I cancelled the order and let you guys have them......

I know they are just like the FN bullets for that caliber if you load for 5.7x28mm that is way cool!! The blue tips I mean.

Well, I thought I scored 5 boxes of 40 gr V-max .224 bullets. Order arrived yesterday. Opened up a box, and knew there was a problem. Got out the micrometer and found they were .204. DANG!! :cuss: All five boxes were the same. The polymer tip is gold colored, so I guess they're Remingtons. It would have been SUCH a good deal . . . . Congrats to those who got the right ones ;)

I called Midway, and they said they were getting other calls on this. He said some boxes are just mislabeled; that is, the label says .204 but they're actually .224 bullets. No such luck here. They're headed back to Midway :banghead:

When I opened up a few different boxes, some boxes looked great, some looked a little splotchy. All looked pretty good, though. I will find out sunday.

Pour vinegar in a small bowl--add 1 tablespoon of salt---dump in bullets.
In less than one minute--factory shine on bullets................
Try it..........................

Ole Farmerbuck - were you wanting .204 or .224? That is, did you end up getting what you wanted, despite the mis-labelling? P51D

Yes, the were the right size, .224 I thought all of the red tips were the same but they arent. There are two different lenghts and the boat tails are different. I measured some Hornady v-max and it looks like the shorter bullets are Hornady. Not sure what the longer ones are or the gold tips, never seen gold tips before.

Thanks, Farmerbuck. Remington makes one called an "AccuTip" that has a goldish color. I think that's what they sent me in .204, 40 gr, whereas I ordered .224.

Looks like I ended up with 500 .224 40gr vmax, 500 .204 40gr vmax and 500 .224 55gr ballistic tips. Looks like i need to get a .204 now!
