Milsurp Pictures thread

I am now a member of the Milsurp club. Bought a beech K31 this weekend with all matching numbers. Spent the past few nights when I got home cleaning it up, taking off the old finish,ironing out a few bumos and adding a new finish of linseed oil and touching up the bluing as well as giving it a nice cleaning. Already was in pretty decent shape, a little bluing wear and the normal stock dings and scuffs but I think it looks much better now. Anyways here are the befores and afters.

There is a good foot shot in there.



The difference isnt dramatic, but I certainly can tell.
Thinking of getting one of the clamp on scope mounts, any advice on brands?


Anyways, post a picture of your favorite milsurp and/or how you cleaned it up.

I paid 185 for the K31 and 120 rounds of GP11. No tag, bought it from a guy on ARFcom.


haha Id edit out the toes, but i think it sets a good tone for the rest of the pictures.

look for the tag under the butt plate. Guy who owned it last...as in issued to owned it.

That strikes me as a pretty good deal! Man, I love shooting my K31. It's probably my favorite mil-surp to shoot.
