MIM, does that mean soon to be Made in Mexico?

Is MIM inferior to forging, casting, bar stock, or otherwise well respected methods of procucing quality parts? If so, I wonder just how long it'll be until those parts are Made in Mexico?
 
Porsche used MIM connecting rods in several of their engines.
