Read through the list of guns she wants to ban. Noticed Ruger Mini-14 tactical, m-14/20cf on the list but did not see mini-14 or mini-30 listed.

Did I read it wrong? Anyone else notice this?

If so, why do you suppose this is?

This applies to us as we have his/hers mini's in 14 and 30

Something tells just seeing would make her have kittens.

the mini 14 tactical is the only one with a pistol grip from the factory....

this has nothing to do with how the gun functions.....they just want to ban the 'scary' ones.

Looks like the Mini 14/30 ranch rifles are not on the list also I did not see
30 M-1 carbine.
When you die what happens to your guns??

The pistol grip makes it so much easier to shoot from the hip and spray bullets everywhere. Who would need such a thing? :banghead:

I don't think that not being on the list makes a gun safe. I think that the guns on the list are certainly banned and that in addition to that guns having one of the "assault" features such as flash hider, pistol grip, etc.. are also banned.

I recall that the -14 was not banned the first time either, and it was widely noted as silly to ban the AR in .223 but not the -14, also in .223. Purely cosmetic. My -14 is box-stock except for a composite stock. My friend's -14, however, wears a flash hider, pistol grip and folding stock, and so I'll be this time that would include it in the proposed ban.

This whole effort is, I believe, a step-by-step effort to possibly eliminate at least the semi-auto rifle from ownership. Clearly the AR platform is a lot more visible than the -14, and I presume there are a lot more ARs in circulation and in demand. So, they'll start with those and move to others later if they are successful this time.

WGP - "... This whole effort is, I believe, a step-by-step effort to possibly eliminate at least the semi-auto rifle from ownership. "

It is just another step by the Marxist Socialist Fascist inspired "liberal progressive" politicians to eventually ban and confiscate ALL firearms from the worker peasants and serfs. That is their unalterable goal.

But ... the automatic, semi-automatic, and other style firearms of the very well armed, very expensive bodyguards of the MegaMillionaire Marxists and Billionaire Bolsheviks, and their puppets, the Marxist Socialist Fascist inspired "liberal progressive" politicians, will naturally be exempt.
