Model 70 in 30-06

For you Winchester historians, I am searching for the years that the Model 70 was made with 24 inch barrels in 30-06. Were there any after 1964? What years of manufacture should be avoided after 1964 (not conjecture, but proven lack of reliability) when buying a used Model 70?

Don't know on the barrel. Most agree that it is best to avoid 64-69. Also stay away from 670 and 770 models. They look like cheap m70's but the bolt is different and have internal magazine.

What's wrong with 670s? I've got one in .30-06. I'm not that impressed with it, but is there something wrong with them other than the action not being very smooth? (At least mine is pretty rough anyways).
