Greetings. I am doing some research on muzzleloaders for hunting season coming up in December. I ran across the Remington Model 700 Muzzleloader. It says that it comes with primed brass. How does that work? Does this rifle use smokeless powder? Is that why it is accurate to 300yds? Does anybody have one of these and like it? Thanks!

It's not using smokeless powder if it being loaded to 200 grains, that's a black powder substitute charge. It uses primed brass but only the primer is inserted in the brass, no powder in the brass. The primer used is to small to put in the rifle but a brass case is easy to install. It's accurate to 300 mainly due to the barrel twist and powder charge
