I don't have words to describe how ridiculous and insulting to our court system this lawsuit is:

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5495067

A man who sold a gun to Trolley Square shooter Sulejman Talovic is trying to avoid a lawsuit brought by one of the victims of the crime.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports attorneys for Carolyn Tuft claim Westley Wayne Hill must have known Talovic was going to use the pistol-grip shotgun he purchased in the commission of a crime since it had no sporting purpose.

Lawyers for Hill argue there was no way he could have known that and are asking Tuft's lawsuit be thrown out.

What? I had to read that twice before I comprehended the idiotic claim by the mother and her attorneys. She's saying "I don't like the type of gun that was used, therefore the seller should have known that it would be used in a crime." :fire:
