Mouse Guns, what's the attraction?

I Have a .22 Mag Mini

I never really agreed with those who say that mouseguns are not suitable for self defense. I know all about knock down power to stop the threat, but these are weapons that are designed for close range use. So "stop the threat" in the head.

"Big badaboom...."

( Okay, the pic doesn't quite match the quote... but, it's much more gun-related than Leeloo peeping over the back seat of Corbin's taxi. :p )

Oh, and just to keep it on topic.... what kind of mouse gun do you think Leeloo would need to be able to hide it in that outfit? :scrutiny: :p :D

My P32 is the gun I carry when I couldn't possibly carry anything bigger. I'm confident in the gun, but not the caliber. Better than a sharp stick though.

Same boat, P32 rear pocket carry when my choices are that or nothing. It has been extremely reliable & I practice dbl tap to the head at ~20 ft using paper plates for heads :).
I have a P11 that was my prefered carry & picked up a PT145SS that will probably replace it as my favorite as soon as I'm through testing it.
Obviously we all would rather have a shotgun, but you carry what you can reasonably carry.

Why a mouse gun?

Dress in the following attire:

Dress Pants (properly fitted)
Button Down dress shirt tucked in

Now try and FULLY conceal most handguns. Good luck. That's my daily attire. Sure I could use the under sport-coat shoulder holster, until I... !!! ...took off my sport coat...

How about a .22 Mag. Mini? Have you seen Leeloo lately? She sure do clean up nice. :D

I own ALOT of full size HGs and when I'm home I usually carry a Springfield XD45 Tactical or a 4 or 5" 1911 BUT I spend most of my time driving a truck over the road hauling VERY high profile cargo, I also must carry very large amounts of cash, Because of the types of loads I carry I usually am sleeping in very bad areas, in fact in the last 12 years there have been 27 attempts to either rob or hijack me.... Now that said, the federal government decided proffesional drivers should not be allowed to keep a firearm on theire person or in ANY commercial vehicle.... even CCW holder which happen to be an ex leo and a 9 year Army vet etc... so........... ya know the P3AT has become VERY popular with proffesional drivers, it can literally be concealed behind a 2" leather belt or even in a pack of cigs, it will totally vanish within the interior of a road truck, in fact I had a state trooper once take possesion of my log book, spend 5 minutes examining all the entries and never even realized there was a gun right under his left palm in the calculator pocket of the small binder.............. uhhh do that with ANY 9 mm or .40 period........... and no the trooper was not being nice this was in a VERY rabid antigun state VERY rabid and he was pissed cause he couldn't find anything to bust me for after stopping me for alledged speeding only to find out my truck is GPS equiped and it recorded my speed when he claimed Ias 10 over.... he tossed my log book and other docs in the passenger seat and told me to get the hell out!

As they say better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.........

MY CARRY FITS MY RIDE

Beretta Mdl. 1934 in .380acp loaded with Dynapoints. This is a proven reliable little weapon. An external hammer to some may seem a possible snag when drawing a weapon from concealment. To me, cocking the hammer is proof positive it is ready for action. And the gun fits snugly in the driver's side map pocket in the door of my car, which is also small - old Miata M Edition.

The Beretta is quickly available if needed from inside the car. And it's also quickly transferrable to one of the deep pockets in my pants when I exit the vehicle. Our carry laws prohibit carrying a weapon into government buildings, etc., so I can elect to leave it in the map pocket when I exit the car.

I have complete confidence in the weapon, the ammo, and my ability to use them and hit what I aim at. Below is a pic of my baby. --- 45Broomhandle
