I need to move the rear sight a bit left. No adjusting screw is evident. How do I make this happen? Thanks

Typically, you can move the sight from side to side in the slide groove. Take the slide off, put it in a padded jaw vise and strike the sight with a non-marring (brass or plastic, not steel) punch and hammer. Tighten the vise just enough to hold the slide without distorting it, and don't hit the slide itself. (The above assumes you have - or have access to - the above equipment; if not, it is more cost effective to have a gunsmith do it.)

I've heard of one person screwing up the slide on their H&K pistol by tightening the vise too tight while drifting the sights. The slide on any pistol is not designed to take pressure from the sides, and the way the H&K P-series slides are shaped make you tighten the vise around the bottom where the slide rails are, and this area seems thinner than on other pistols.

You might also consider buying the MGW HK USP/P2000 sight pusher tool. It works great if you want to install tritium sights on your pistol or if you just want to adjust the factory-equipped contrast sights. It's available from Brownells right now (Part #:100-004-195) or you can search Ebay for a slightly used one at a better price. It's a good investment if you have several HK pistols from the USP or P2000 series.

I moved mine with a brass punch and hammer. No marks on the sight and lined it up to my grip/eye. I didn't have to use a vise. I laid the slide on a wooden block covered by a towel. Others may see the need to be more careful but I have not had any problem.
One another note, are you certain you need to move the sight? I found that when I gripped the gun correctly and had proper trigger control with the front sight covering the target, I didn't need to move the sight on my P30. It took some practice for me, especially on the DA to learn to control my pistol. Your situation may be different. Good luck.
