My first smith and wessons

I have 3 Rugers and 1 charter arms but I've never had a smith and wesson. I surprisingly have found most smith and wesson triggers on new guns not to my liking except for a couple. I saw this old school looking 586-8 and I liked the trigger pull and I loved the look of the grips....so I now have my first smith and wesson. Hopefully, I'll shoot it tomorrow and compare it to my gp100 5 inch. Since I've been looking at a s&w 22 victory , I bought one as well and got $30 off the total for both guns. I'll compare that to my mark 2.

Hmmm, never seen a 586 with a lock before. The L-frames are solid. I have a 581 (no adjustable sight) from the 1980's that as far as I know, has never had a trigger job, but still has a good smooth DA pull. Enjoy.

Yeah they're from their classic series line so they are current production. Hence the lock.
