My new / old Home Defense gun

My 188 Mini 14 with trueshot av2 pinned modular front sight, I can put any 1/2-28 device i want on the front end, very good sight view, fast!
It's got the trueshot barrel strut.
The sight and strut are real solid and tight fitting, I was surprised.
It's got a Choate folding stock that has an added forward aluminum rail, with a magpul vfg, and plenty of Ruger mags.
Now I just need a good single point sling and a Choate handguard.
I'll post after I get to the range but a cartridge laser says the sight is right on.
What a huge improvement over the factory sight, can't wait to shoot it!

What is the purpose of the bolted-on strut ?
What did it do to your accuracy at 100 yards?

If you want it as a HD weapon, put a red dot system on it and you're done.

the old mini's had accuracy issues.the strut changes barrel vibrations to increase accuracy

The strut helps, but old minis are strictly 55 gr or less ammo.

Kind of like an updated A Team rifle. I like it.
